No. You can set your temperature right on the mug. The Ember app for iPhone and Android is optional and adds presets, notifications and personalization.

What is your return policy?

Unused mugs can be returned within 30 days. A $10 restocking fee applies. Read the returns policy

What warranty is included?

Your charging coaster is covered by a lifetime warranty, and the mug by a 1-year limited warranty for manufacturing defects.

Is Mug 3 dishwasher safe?

Yes, on the top rack. Let the mug dry completely before charging. The charging coaster and cable are not dishwasher safe.

How does Ember keep my drink hot?

A built-in heater and precision sensors hold your drink at the exact temperature you choose.

Can I use Mug 3 for cold drinks?

Mug 3 is designed for hot drinks. For iced drinks, try the Ember Cold Tumbler, which insulates but does not actively cool.
